Welcome Autumn

Pumpkin Welcome Arrangement
A year ago this time, I was anxiously awaiting the birth of my baby girl and needed some small projects to take my mind off of the guessing game of when she might make her debut. I had seen others writing messages on pumpkins and decided that the most appropriate message for us would be, “welcome,” since we were eager to welcome our sweet girl. I bought the mini pumpkins and stamped on them using my largest Alphabet set from Close To My Heart. I then filled in the letters with a small sharpie (since stamps don’t always work best on rounded surfaces). I’ve seen others use vinyl, paper, or freehand marker to spell a festive message with pumpkins. So many options! I even saw white pumpkins at Walmart the other day. And painting or decorating a pumpkin with out carving it, means it has a much better chance at withstanding the Phoenix heat! I love the promise that Autumn brings (triple digit temperatures can’t last much longer)!

Stay tuned for many more seasonal posts to come! I am working on witch-themed party ideas for a friend, and lots of costumes ideas, etc.

HAPPY OCTOBER!
