Hi, I’m Melinda from DECOR8Rgirl! My blog is all about my craftiness, family and life. I also have an Etsy store under the same name where I sell jewelry, accessories and cards. I’m excited to guest post about my favorite organization project.
Since I had so many pens, pencils and markers sitting around, I knew I needed some way to keep them organized and in reach. I came upwith this organizing station.
To create my little organizer, I made labels for each item and wrapped them around aluminum cans we had left over from vegetables. I then covered a few layers of really sturdy cardboard with some cute shelf liner I had bought for a dollar or two a while back at Target. Then I used E-6000 to glue each can down to my platform. This way all my containers would stay together on my desk. In front of these containers, I put spray-painted tuna cans for my paper clips, little pens and little markers. I left those off of the platform so that I could grab them and take them with me if I needed to.
Want to make your own? Here is a PDF of the labels I created!
This whole project was free for me, I just needed some leftover cans, printer paper, cardboard and shelf liner! Do you have a crafty way you organize your office supplies? Share them in the comments below!
