So, as you can see, I got a lot of blogging done this week (*note the sarcasm*)! It is going to be a busy couple of weeks as I put together a birthday party for my soon to be 9-year-old, and wrap up my music classes with an end of year recital. After those thing are out of the way, I can start thinking about having this baby. I have lots I’d like to be blogging about, but between the to-do’s, and the large amounts of sleep my body is craving, I’m just not sure how much I will do for a while. In the meantime, I’d love to have your help!
I’d love to feature a guest blogger or two each week, for the next several weeks! And I’d love for their posts to be BABY related, to help me be excited and remember why I’m doing all of this, in the first place. 🙂 It seems like lots of people I know are having babies so I’m sure we’d all love some baby inspiration! Since My Insanity is mainly about crazy and crafty ideas, I’m thinking I’d love anything that combines babies and a little creativity or “how-to” knowledge. Here are some ideas:
- Fun gifts to make or put together for baby showers.
- Unique baby shower ideas or themes.
- Sip and See parties.
- Cute and clever nursery decor.
- Clever baby-stuff storage solutions.
- Making your own baby food (I want to do this, this time around, and haven’t really tried in the past, so I need some info.)
- Making baby clothes out of repurposed old clothing.
- Homemade toys.
- Any thing else cute and/or creative!
I am NOT looking for birthing stories, at this time. I find some of them to be very inspirational and helpful, but mostly that’s not where I want my brain at this stage of the game (does that make sense?). I’m also hoping to feature posts and bloggers that haven’t already made the rounds on the internet 100 times. So either a new post that you write for me, or highlights from several of your posts that are related, or something you’ve written that hasn’t already been linked up to a bunch of parties. In other words–fresh inspiration! I will, of course, introduce you to my readers and provide links to your blog, in hopes of expanding your audience, if you wish.

Sent you an email but I just wanted to leave a note here too. We've done some really fun baby showers that we call "storking the freezer" parties. Basically a service party making freezer meals for expecting moms. It's a lot of fun and such a great help. If you can't hire a personal chef…get some friends together who love you and can cook. It's so sweet on an exhausted evening to open the freezer full of love.
Can't wait to read some of these! I'm due in Sept. and I could really use some inspiration!!
I just did a girl baby shower with the theme "She's just about to pop!" with a girly twist. I'm working on planning a boy one but haven't quite figured out what to do.
