I’ve been on a bit of a glow-in-the-dark kick lately. It started with my son’s Laser Tag Birthday (which will be up on the blog very soon), and transitions nicely into Halloween! I was already scheming up some glow in the dark ideas for our trunk for this year’s Trunk or Treat when I was given…
Many years ago, I created a Father’s Day banner out of paper ties. I have loved this banner and used it repeatedly, but it has become apparent that making the banner out of a different material would transform it into something that could withstand the years! Here is my wooden version of the Father’s Day…
We are in the throes of assembling our latest collection of themed family costumes this week. I will not reveal them just yet but will give a few clues. As many of you know, we have a long-standing tradition of dressing up together as a family for Halloween. It is a bit of work, but…
A couple of weeks ago I go a call from my neighbor on a Wednesday night. She was wondering if I had any ideas for her daughter’s birthday party THAT SATURDAY! She had sent out an evite weeks before, but hadn’t gotten around to any party planning yet. Of course, I had ideas–it’s My Insanity–I…
Thanks so much to Kendra for letting me do a guest post! I am thrilled to be able to contribute to Kendra’s Insanity! I especially love how she always pulls her projects and parties together with a reasonable budget! *** I have been thinking for awhile now how fun a tricycle-themed baby shower would be….

Such cute ideas! I make a ribbon tie on all my Father's Day gifts!
Those pancakes are so cute! Not sure that I'd have that much ability to handle the batter, but they are darling!
Whitney, I hope you'll show us how you do it!
Linds or Lyds,
It's really not that hard. I blogged about it earlier (there is a link in the guest post). You just use a squeeze bottle and "draw" the outline first with batter. Then you fill it in and it makes a design. My kids LOVE it when we do this! My oldest even likes to try making her pictures on the griddle too.
hooray for you! I was at a loss for this father's day and you've saved me! xoxo Kira…ps I tried very hard to channel you when doing my son's birthday last week…I kept thinking "how would Kendra do it?"…
Wow, Kira! Thanks! That's a tremendous compliment coming from you! Your parties are always fantastic! I loved the dragon in the pool…I mean, lava! 🙂
Great ideas, Kendra! Love the tie penant!
cute cute! Had to stop by and let you know I used your photo idea (from last year). Thanks for the inspiration!
