I was fortunate enough to be asked to host an Elmer’s “Craft and Tell” party this month. They sent me a box loaded to gills with all kinds of crafting tools and goodies! My instructions were to CRAFT and then TELL you about it. (Well there were a few more instructions than that, but you get the…
When you say the word “craft” it often conjures up images of ruffles and lace–everything unmanly. But there are many projects that you and/or your kids can do for Father’s Day that will impress the manliest of men. Why not use your talents to show him you care? Here are some creative and crafty Father’s…
Ever since I first saw these cake pops from Bakerella, a couple of years ago, I’ve thought it would be great to plan an entire Father’s Day around the “Super Dad/ Super Hero” theme. If you think your dad is super, then you’re in luck! Â There is tons of inspiration to be found around blog…
Does yours?  Then tell him with a poppin’ gift basket! This is my final Father’s Day idea post this year, but you still have time to throw this one together, if you hurry. Remember our “She’s About to Pop” baby shower?  We were amazed at the number of things you can find that use the word…
Guest post by Kendra’s sister, Trina, who isn’t only insanely creative, but also extremely cheap–that runs in our family, too! 🙂 I feel unqualified to talk about home décor because I don’t do too much of it, and what I do do is more often dictated most by how inexpensively it can be done. So,…
Hello everyone! I’m so happy to be guest blogging here at My Insanity. It’s one of my favorite blogs. A little bit about me – I’m a stay-at-home-mom with 2 kids that I love to pieces and keep me pretty busy. I love crafting and I love to use crafting not just as a way…

Such cute ideas! I make a ribbon tie on all my Father's Day gifts!
Those pancakes are so cute! Not sure that I'd have that much ability to handle the batter, but they are darling!
Whitney, I hope you'll show us how you do it!
Linds or Lyds,
It's really not that hard. I blogged about it earlier (there is a link in the guest post). You just use a squeeze bottle and "draw" the outline first with batter. Then you fill it in and it makes a design. My kids LOVE it when we do this! My oldest even likes to try making her pictures on the griddle too.
hooray for you! I was at a loss for this father's day and you've saved me! xoxo Kira…ps I tried very hard to channel you when doing my son's birthday last week…I kept thinking "how would Kendra do it?"…
Wow, Kira! Thanks! That's a tremendous compliment coming from you! Your parties are always fantastic! I loved the dragon in the pool…I mean, lava! 🙂
Great ideas, Kendra! Love the tie penant!
cute cute! Had to stop by and let you know I used your photo idea (from last year). Thanks for the inspiration!
