Last year, around this time, my friend, Jennifer, asked me for some ideas for a car-themed birthday she was throwing for her 4-yr.-old son. That inspired this post, full of fun “High-octane” party ideas.
Though, I’m afraid my photo didn’t do it justice. I loved how she used the road coverings on each surface. Here, she lined the food with tube lighting. My favorite, were the chocolate donuts stacked-up as Luigi’s tires. They had fallen over by the time I took the picture. She also took my checkered sandwich idea, and did it with rice crispie treats. She just made some the normal way, and some with cocoa cereal, then set them out in a checkered pattern.
This is a darling party. Love the cars the kids made! Very cute idea.
Hugs,
Joanne
Very fun! I threw a Cars party for my boy/girl twins last year for their 3rd Birthday and it was a hit…very popular was the tattoo table we labeled Ramone's House of Body Art and Michaels has wood cut out cars for $1 that the kids all colored. I hope to see photos from your SIL's party.

This is an adorable party! I love it!
I LOVE how the hallway came out, it looks so fun and what a great way to set the mood.
BTW loving all the party links, I am so impressed.
I love the road idea for the hallway. I am going to bookmark your site. Thanks for all the ideas.

So stinkin adorable!!!
Hi,
I simply love the look of your party and was going to have a car theme party as well,
Where did you get the road coverings entrance if you don’t mind me asking?

I love the tablecloth road idea. I work in a classroom with 4yr olds. This would be great in the block center for them to drive their cars on. Thanks for the idea
Love it
How do you make the box car’s
where did you get the road for the hallway??
Cassandra,
It is simply a roll of plastic like the kinds you buy at the party stores to cover tables. Then she taped it down and used tape to create the lines in the middle of the road. Piece of cake!
