Party In a Jar Book

Party in a Jar by Vanessa Coppola 1

I’m really excited to share this new party book with you today for several reasons. 1) It is written by my talented friend, Vanessa from www.seevanessacraft.com. 2) My daughter is one of the cute kids featured in the book (see that is her above!), and 3) (Maybe most importantly) it is adorable and full of great, inexpensive ideas for kids crafts/party favors all made out of jars! With school getting out for Summer, this could be the perfect boredom buster for you to do with the kids this Summer!

So more about #1:

Vanessa Rodriguez Coppola Headshot

Vanessa Rodriguez Coppola is a talented Arizona blogger and mom. I’ve had the opportunity to hang out with her on several occasions and she is as sweet as she is talented! You might remember her as the winner of my Party Party a little while back with her adorable goldfish party! She spreads her love of glitter and hot glue through her blog, www.seevanessacraft.com, and is passionate about upcycling through crafting. She has a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and has experienced the therapeutic value of creativity firsthand.

More about #2:

Being a blogger’s child can definitely have it’s perks! My daughter and several other cute kids (mostly bloggers’ children) were invited to an adorable crafting party/photo shoot with Vanessa as they were putting the book together.

If you can’t tell, she had a wonderful time! They got to try out a few of the projects from the book, that were very doable and fun (and get photographed in the process).

She used the jar lantern she made at the party every night for a nightlight for quite a while. We also just made one of these for her friend for a birthday present this weekend, but like a bad blogger, I forgot to get a picture of it before taking it to the party. The book contains all of the step-by-step instructions for both of these projects.

More about #3:

Of course, being a blogger isn’t all bad, either. I got invited to the cutest book launch party with Vanessa just a couple of weeks ago.

The party was full of so many fun details that celebrated the book and it was the first chance I had to get my hands on the finished product! The book is adorable! The pictures by Jen Roberts Photography are a colorful treat for the eyes. The projects are all very clever, but pretty simple to execute–which is great, because it means you will actually want to do them with your children! It features sixteen kid-friendly craft projects that not only provide entertainment for pint-sized partygoers but can also function as takehome party favors! There are edible dino terrariums and holiday-themed gifts and centerpieces. Using up cycled jars, these crafts are earth-friendly and are sure to be the hit of your next get-together. You can learn more about the book at www.partyinajarbook.com.

Or go ahead and pick up your own copy of the book on Amazon or at Gibbs Smith. You can even get a signed copy! Vanessa will be sending out signed (super cute mason jar) bookplates to stick inside the books by request. To request a bookplate, email seevanessacraft@gmail.com with the subject line BOOKPLATE. Include a proof of purchase (Amazon order screen shot, photo of receipt, etc.) and a shipping address.

I’m so excited for my friend, Vanessa, and for all of you that you get the opportunity to experience her work of art for yourselves! What projects do you have planned for the kiddos this summer?
