Sleep Pink Party

What could be better than pink ruffles, pajamas, nail polish, goodies, good friends, and a great cause all in one night?

Not Much! I hosted a Sleep Pink Party this week in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Although breast cancer is a serious matter, raising awareness and funding for cancer research doesn’t have to be! We had a blast munching on pink treats, watching girly movies, painting our nails in various shades of pink and giving each other much needed therapy in the form of girl talk!

I threw the party together last-minute. I was glad to have tons of pink ruffled crepe paper I had kept from the Girls Night Out party last year. This time I used it the crepe paper streamer to form a breast cancer awareness ribbon on the backdrop of our dessert table. I pretty-much grabbed all of the pink party decorations I had on hand and went to town. I had actually thought a pink party would be a great theme for a little girl’s party so had been collecting ideas and hanging on to froofy decorations. You can see more pink ideas you can check out my Pinterest board.

I asked my guests to bring something pink to eat. We ended up drinking raspberry lemonade, eating pink popcorn, pink cake, and raspberry chocolate ice cream.

My friend Janna, has a nail polish addiction that I often benefit from. I asked her if she could bring over only the pink shades of polish she owned. We had just a few to choose from. 🙂

Wait! There’s more…

And there was a chick flick going on for those who weren’t busy gabbing or painting nails.

We got a few group shots of everyone in their pin pajamas. Now when I upload one of these photos to Facebook, Estroven will donate $100 to The Avon walk for Breast Cancer.

I’m thinking this photo because I can’t get over my daughter’s kissy face in it!

I know many of you have personally been effected by breast cancer as it everywhere! Even if not, I know you’d like to do something to benefit the cause.

If you want to join in on the fun, check out the details below about throwing your own Sleep Pink party.
