A Peek At My Booty

I think I’ll lose half of my followers with a title like that (and maybe gain a few that will be disappointed), but I just couldn’t resist. And if you aren’t sure what kind of booty I am referring to, go here. Technically I acquired everything you see here legally, so it isn’t really booty yet, but when those scalawags come for the birthday party, I’m sure they will be treacherous enough that we can officially call it their booty.

(On an unrelated note, my almost 2 yr. old, refers to her backside as her “booty.” Not her bum, or tushie…it’s her booty! Wonder what kind of google searches will land here, now?)

I have lots to blog about, but my time is getting absorbed by my latest venture, and will be for the next couple of weeks, until my classes started and I get into a routine.

Just because I’m busy, doesn’t mean a certain young man isn’t about to turn 5. I have been collecting booty…er, party supplies, and nailing down final plans. You’ve seen a million pirate parties, but I do have a couple of “insane” ideas, I’m pretty excited about. Will share soon!

Thought I would let you know that a lot of those supplies came from Michaels, which was having 30% off all of their pirate and princess supplies. I stocked up on their silly pirate-themed candies, and a few other accessories.

I will be BFFs forever with anyone who can tell me where (in Phx, or online), I can find some cheap dome-shaped lunch pails, like the kind I used in Trenton’s truck b-day here, for super cheap. I think I paid between $3-$4 for those on clearance at Target (they had NASCAR stuff on them, before I attacked with the spray paint). That’s as much as I’d like to spend, or less. Thanks!

Arrrgh!

    Hey Kendra!!
Can't wait to see your pirate party. They have lunch boxes shaped like that in the clearance aisle at our Michaels (with HS musical theme but could be spray painted) I've also seen them at our 5 Below store (don't know if you have one of them) but I think they're $5 a piece. I was looking for them for E's doctor party for the favor boxes and found white ones I painted with red crosses. Our Dollar Tree had nice-sized cardboard pirate treasure chests for a$1 last year in the gift box area (they were flat and you had to put them together — not sure if they still have them or not) Good luck with the pillaging!! : )
