Makeup for Moms–Featuring elf cosmetics

Let’s talk about make-up! I love the way I feel when I have make-up on! I love the way I am more confident and feel pretty. However, in my world, make-up days aren’t as frequent as I might like them to be, and if I have to choose between getting put together for the day, and sleeping for a few more minutes…I’m likely to choose sleep. Complicating matters, most of my make-up had either run out or been destroyed by my children, when I got the opportunity to shop for new elf cosmetics at Target! Woo Hoo! I’ve been wanting to try the elf brand, Target is one of my happy places, and it is a perfect thing to talk about during Fashion Week!

We’ve talked about some basic style tips with the hope that dressing in a way that makes us look and feel great can be an easier thing to do more often and not just on special occasions. The same goes for make-up. I don’t have a couple of hours to get dolled up everyday, but a few simple steps can have me feeling much more put together and confident. Or what about those days when you do have somewhere special to go. Do you need some tips on achieving a more glamorous look? I got your back. I love you enough that I have filmed myself without make-up so I can show you some of what I do, and hopefully give you a few ideas of simple ways you can use makeup to help feel more fashionable and fabulous!

Before we jump into the videos, let’s take a closer look at the elf cosmetics! These are the ones that came home with me this time and serve as the cast of characters in my makeup videos.

I might want to marry this Kabuki brush! It is SO soft and feels great on my face! It does a nice job of distributing a light,even coat of powder all over my face.

Speaking of powder, I am really liking this Tone Correcting powder. It is lightweight and does a great job matching my skin tones. Also pictured are blush in Fuschia Fusion, The Eyebrow Kit in Medium, Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade, Hypershine Gloss in Mauve, and Matte Lip color in Rich Red. I’m really impressed with the price point of the elf products. They are really inexpensive and simple. Everything I purchased was priced at either $1, $3, or $6!

You’ll be able to see in the pictures below the great finish the Flawless Finish Foundation gave me! Also pictured, mineral INFUSED mascara, and two-in-one, under-eye concealer and highlighter.

This is me trying to figure out the best way to show you how I look after putting on makeup. Don’t worry, I pulled out the tripod and came up with a better solution.

VIDEO #1: Everyday makeup you can do quickly

Fashion week is making me brave, because I started filming a video WITHOUT makeup on! It’s all for the greater good, though! I’m showing you how I can look a little prettier in just a few minutes, with a simple makeup regimen that even the busiest of women should be able to find time to do.

VIDEO #2: Mama Drama

Just because we are moms doesn’t mean we don’t need a little excitement in our lives and make-up routines now and then. Here’s a more dramatic look that doesn’t take long to achieve.

I’m kind of wishing now that I had pulled out some big jewelry to complete the look for you.
