Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I hope you’ve had a wonderful day! I didn’t bake a single pie, cook a single dish, or even set a pretty table today. I’ll tell you why in a moment.
In the past I have really tried to focus on being grateful and have come up with ways to help my children focus on gratitude the entire month of November. I intended to do daily Instagram gratitude-grams this month, and it really hasn’t happened this year. So before the holiday is over, I thought I should tell you at least a little bit of what I am grateful for.
So today, I am grateful for my children! All of them, including #5 who currently resides in my belly and will be making his or her debut in the summer–even if this child is the source of my constant nausea and fatigue as of late. (That part is a little harder to be thankful for, but I am trying).
So this is why I avoided all food prep and abandoned both of my visions of either a faux bois thanksgiving or an outdoor camping-vibe table. I did manage to eat some turkey and keep it down so we will call this holiday a success!
I’m also thankful for all of you and the role you play in my life. Thank you for feeding the insanity and supporting our family in each of our crazy adventures!
