Teacher Gifts–what are you doing?
This afternoon is pretty much the only chance I will have to help my kids make gifts for their teachers before they are out for Christmas break. But what to make? What to make?

For months I’ve been teasing you with sneak peeks, like this one, of the Space-themed room I have been designing for my son. I had been planning and dreaming about it since before we moved in nearly 2 years ago. And I am happy to announce that it is FINALLY FINISHED…….sort of. The big stuff…
I was really excited about the gifts my kids gave their teachers this year for Christmas. (The pictures really don’t do them justice.) Some friends and I got together and made scrabble tile necklaces (using this fantastic tutorial), for all kind of friends and siblings, etc. (You may remember this Insanity Zone from my home…
This is a quick post for my friend, Kathryn, who was doing my hair today and asked if I had any ideas for some fun decor she could do for her Christmas Eve party that would go along well with her red, black, and white home decor. Of course, I have ideas, just not a…

before After We didn’t quite make our goal of adding leaves, every day, but our tree is still full of wonderful things that we are all thankful for! If nothing else, it got us in the habit of being thankful each day. One that I hope we can keep throughout the year. When I initially…
I’m so excited! I just ordered BSB a sentimental Christmas present through an incredible deal, I know you all want to know about! (BSB stands for Boy Scout Barry, my dh. Barry, if you are reading, you might want to step away from the computer…) … seriously. … Step away from the computer! … You…

Kendra, I can't help you out with the candles but I have LOTS of Epsom salts left over if you need them 🙂
Thanks for featuring my idea on your awesome blog!
We are making cocoa jars for teachers this year-I posted about it here!

I'm making homemade bread….and lots of it. About 22 loaves. Other ideas here: http://moneysavinghabits.com/2009/12/15/gifts-from-the-heart/
Good luck finding something that you have all the supplies for. That's what stops me from many projects too.
I ditched the homemade gifts this year and opted for the Barnes and Noble gift certificate! LOL! Yes, I'm lazy I know. I just don't have the time to make anything.
I found a "panel" at Joanns for a "green, environmentally friendly bag" so I purchased two of those and stitched them up. We loaded the bags with homemade spag sauce, homemade applesauce, homemade jam, pasta, parm cheese, homemade banana nut bread, french bread, and an ornament that I purchased last year on clearanace after Christmas. I think the teachers will enjoy the gift.
I made picture frames and personalized note cards for her teachers and pumpkin bread for the assistants. I think next year I'll "steal" your idea for the art work pendant.
Cookie mixes and fudge mixes this year. Those candles look cute!
I gave my son's teachers paper ornaments that I covered in German Glass glitter. It was really easy and still personal. My son is 3, so this was his first year with teachers!
Hey there, I made my kids teacher's framed crayon monograms-which were a HUGE hit, the teachers loved that the gifts were so thoughtful: If you have a sec, check them out on my blog they were pretty easy and cheap to make too!

My boys picked pine cones and painted them. Some white to look like a tree with snow.. some green with glitter or red with glitter. I then hot glue gones some ribbon one them and viola a homemade ornament from the kids.
The teachers loved it!
I am bookmarking these other ideas for next year!
Thanks
