Teacher Gifts–what are you doing?
This afternoon is pretty much the only chance I will have to help my kids make gifts for their teachers before they are out for Christmas break. But what to make? What to make?

Thanks for the great response to our primary ice cream party last week! Several of you requested more specifics about the activities and games we did. I’m going to share the parts I was involved with, and then I’m turning this post over to my friend, Becky, who did a great job making and coordinating…
I want to show you this cute Halloween book you might want to purchase and read to your children before Halloween this year! It is a cute story that my kids wanted to hear over and over. We have a tradition of getting a new book every year for Christmas, but don’t have a lot of…
We are had so much fun over at my fondue gift basket giveaway! Thanks to everyone for entering. In the meantime, it has also been really enlightening. I asked readers to share the most romantic/creative Valentine’s Day they have ever had. While there are some seriously romantic answers–pretty sure I can’t top being whisked off to…
Spring Break Season is upon us and I know some of you may be planning a trip to the House of the Mouse (a.k.a Disneyland or Disney World) during your break. Last week at this time my family was “Soaring Over California” and dining with princesses, and next week I’m going to tell you all…
Oh. Visitors! Hi! I wasn’t really expecting anyone today. Oh, you’re here for one of those holiday open houses (like Kimba’s, Tip Junkie’s, Southern Hospitality’s, Hooked on Houses, etc.). Is that today? Oh, it was supposed to be Monday. Yeah, I’m having a little bit of a hard time keeping track of time. Things have…
It’s time to make an accounting of our family’s LISTERINE® Healthy Habits for a Lifetime Oral Care Challenge. I wrote about the reasons to focus on good dental habits in this post, at the beginning of the challenge. So, how did I do? You tell me… Alright, it probably would help if I had posted…

Kendra, I can't help you out with the candles but I have LOTS of Epsom salts left over if you need them 🙂
Thanks for featuring my idea on your awesome blog!
We are making cocoa jars for teachers this year-I posted about it here!

I'm making homemade bread….and lots of it. About 22 loaves. Other ideas here: http://moneysavinghabits.com/2009/12/15/gifts-from-the-heart/
Good luck finding something that you have all the supplies for. That's what stops me from many projects too.
I ditched the homemade gifts this year and opted for the Barnes and Noble gift certificate! LOL! Yes, I'm lazy I know. I just don't have the time to make anything.
I found a "panel" at Joanns for a "green, environmentally friendly bag" so I purchased two of those and stitched them up. We loaded the bags with homemade spag sauce, homemade applesauce, homemade jam, pasta, parm cheese, homemade banana nut bread, french bread, and an ornament that I purchased last year on clearanace after Christmas. I think the teachers will enjoy the gift.
I made picture frames and personalized note cards for her teachers and pumpkin bread for the assistants. I think next year I'll "steal" your idea for the art work pendant.
Cookie mixes and fudge mixes this year. Those candles look cute!
I gave my son's teachers paper ornaments that I covered in German Glass glitter. It was really easy and still personal. My son is 3, so this was his first year with teachers!
Hey there, I made my kids teacher's framed crayon monograms-which were a HUGE hit, the teachers loved that the gifts were so thoughtful: If you have a sec, check them out on my blog they were pretty easy and cheap to make too!

My boys picked pine cones and painted them. Some white to look like a tree with snow.. some green with glitter or red with glitter. I then hot glue gones some ribbon one them and viola a homemade ornament from the kids.
The teachers loved it!
I am bookmarking these other ideas for next year!
Thanks
