Teacher Gifts–what are you doing?
This afternoon is pretty much the only chance I will have to help my kids make gifts for their teachers before they are out for Christmas break. But what to make? What to make?

I nearly titled this post, “Something Fishy is Going On”, but I didn’t want to give the wrong impression. When we decided to spend Christmas in Utah, the one thing my husband was really excited about was fishing. Yes, in the cold. Yes, in the snow! Yes, he clearly has less sanity than I have,…
It’s time to wrap-up our wonderful Christmas in July party! Thanks to everyone who submitted their great ideas for Christmas gifts and projects. If you are looking for some inspiration, you will want to check them all out here: Laurie, our celebrity judge from Tip Junkie has picked her favorite projects. Each of the following…
I had only recently gotten to know the Blaser family, when Clint passed away. Jackie is one of the moms on the MomTimeTV show, and the Blasers had generously offered their home for the filming of several episodes. Spending time in their home that day, I felt like I knew them. They seemed to have…
I’m lucky to have another one of my family members here to blog about home decorating projects, while I am working on some of mine (this is the only time you’ll hear me complain that my pantry is too big). Trina has shared some fantastic projects on the blog before (Check out the Good Knight Party, and the…
I know most of you are done with Christmas and so ready to move on to what’s on the docket next (which is too bad, because I still have a lot of Christmas to report). But before putting all of those Holiday Decorations back in storage until Thanksgiving, you may want to make another trip…
We aren’t quite done with school yet. (Are we the only ones still finishing up?) So I am still deciding on what my kids will give to their teachers this week as a final “Thank You for putting up with me all year!” gift. Here is a simple thank-you gift that could work for teachers…

Kendra, I can't help you out with the candles but I have LOTS of Epsom salts left over if you need them 🙂
Thanks for featuring my idea on your awesome blog!
We are making cocoa jars for teachers this year-I posted about it here!

I'm making homemade bread….and lots of it. About 22 loaves. Other ideas here: http://moneysavinghabits.com/2009/12/15/gifts-from-the-heart/
Good luck finding something that you have all the supplies for. That's what stops me from many projects too.
I ditched the homemade gifts this year and opted for the Barnes and Noble gift certificate! LOL! Yes, I'm lazy I know. I just don't have the time to make anything.
I found a "panel" at Joanns for a "green, environmentally friendly bag" so I purchased two of those and stitched them up. We loaded the bags with homemade spag sauce, homemade applesauce, homemade jam, pasta, parm cheese, homemade banana nut bread, french bread, and an ornament that I purchased last year on clearanace after Christmas. I think the teachers will enjoy the gift.
I made picture frames and personalized note cards for her teachers and pumpkin bread for the assistants. I think next year I'll "steal" your idea for the art work pendant.
Cookie mixes and fudge mixes this year. Those candles look cute!
I gave my son's teachers paper ornaments that I covered in German Glass glitter. It was really easy and still personal. My son is 3, so this was his first year with teachers!
Hey there, I made my kids teacher's framed crayon monograms-which were a HUGE hit, the teachers loved that the gifts were so thoughtful: If you have a sec, check them out on my blog they were pretty easy and cheap to make too!

My boys picked pine cones and painted them. Some white to look like a tree with snow.. some green with glitter or red with glitter. I then hot glue gones some ribbon one them and viola a homemade ornament from the kids.
The teachers loved it!
I am bookmarking these other ideas for next year!
Thanks
