Lots of business to talk about briefly.

First of all don’t forget about the Spring Cleaning Party here next week. I really need to get myself in gear and get a bit more done so I have something blog-worthy to share with you. Wendy at the Shabby Nest has posted some great Spring Cleaning tips. I found we got the most done, when my husband told me he had invited a bunch of people over for ice cream the next night. So if you are like me and need motivation, throw a party!
Another tool that might help is Kimba’s unplugged Friday. If we take her challenge and use that day for our projects, we can share our posts here and on her site next week. It is amazing how much more we can get done if we aren’t worried about the computer/telephone, etc. A few weekends ago, our family participated in an Emergency Preparedness weekend where we pretended not to have power for a couple of days to see how we could manage. I missed my computer, but played a lot of board games with the kids, and did other kinds of things that I don’t always make time for. I highly recommend taking a day or two to “unplug.”

I was getting ready to write a concession speech for the Leprechaun Contest over at Gourmet Mom, but when I got on the computer this morning, I realized that it isn’t quite over yet. There are still 19 hours left to vote and I am currently down by 18 votes. I have some great readers and friends that got me a lot of votes yesterday. If you haven’t voted yet, I would love it if you could take a minute today and cast a vote for my Lucky Leprechaun Cake.
