Family Fun Outings – Arizona Style- part 2–As You Wish Pottery Painting Giveaway!

Continuing with our Spring Break series today and a GIVEAWAY! Spring Break is a great time to get out and play around town. I’m sharing some of our favorite family outings each day this week. Check back each day for more Arizona fun!

Part 2: As You Wish: Pottery Painting Place

Last fall my family had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of the new As You Wish location at Westgate–you know, right by where they held the Superbowl this year. We had so much fun painting pottery as a family that night! Everyone from my 4-year-old to my husband was very excited about the piece they chose to paint and spent quite a while selecting paints and perfecting their pieces (we were the last to leave).

I think BSB finally beat out my oldest daughter as the worst perfectionist of our group–but not by much.

We were also treated to Papa Murphy’s Take and Bake pizza and Gigi’s Cupcakes, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed!

When my oldest was a pre-schooler, I used to take her often to paint at As You Wish for their projects. They always have ideas for seasonal projects that are fun for the kids. I remember we did a lot of hand and footprint projects that make great keepsakes now that she is going to high school (yikes!).

I also want to go back sometime and try their glass fusing! I have never done that before. It looks so beautiful and interesting to learn.
