A Baby Time Giveaway–Tanner’s Tasty Paste

I thought it would be nice to kick off this Baby Time countdown with a kid/baby giveaway!

Realizing that I have my own crew of testers, the folks at Tanner’s Tasty Paste were kind enough to send me several samples of their line of very tasty kid’s toothpaste to try out.

The short story is that these toothpastes were created by a pediatric dentist who is also a mom, and who understands how kids operate. The toothpaste tastes like ice cream, from chocolate, to vanilla, to BlingSicle (Orange creme), and yummy toothpaste makes kids want to brush their teeth.

I will tell you that since the toothpaste has arrived, there have been battles to see who could get to the bathroom first to get the toothpaste first. They LOVE it! The kids’ bathroom even smells of vanilla ice cream, instead of like a kids’ bathroom.

As exciting as the yummy flavors are, I’m a little more excited about what isn’t in the toothpaste. There is no sodium lauryl sulfate, saccharin, or artificial colors or flavors. My husband is a big fan of that because he often has issues with toothpaste that do contain those ingredients. His comment was, “When are they going to make a line for adults?” But I don’t see any reason why adults can’t use the kid’s line. I don’t know much about the Xylitol it contains, but a quick wikipedia search says that it is very “tooth friendly.”

At $6.00/tube, the price point is a bit higher than what I would like to be paying for toothpaste, but if you have kids that fight the teeth brushing, or you are concerned about ingredients in other toothpastes, that may be a small price to pay. My only other concern, is that it tastes so good that younger children might be tempted to try and eat the whole tube. I had that issue with my oldest when she was a toddler, with much less yummy toothpaste. After a call to poison control, we had the talk about fluoride and how it was for her teeth, not her tummy. I caught her with a tube of toothpaste a few weeks later and asked her if she had been eating it. “No. It has Florida in it!” she replied.

…Sorry, had to share my cute story. Always a good idea to keep toothpaste out of small children’s reach. The Baby Bling variety is designed for young children, so don’t have to worry about the Florida–I mean flouride, there.

Back to the Tasty Paste…I’m sure you will really like it, which is why I am excited to be able to give away a full set of Tasty Paste to one of my amazing readers!!!

  1. ooohhhh, on the other note (baby names) I will tell you a few that Matt and I love…Jagger, Ryder, & River they are different, but that is the way I like my names! 😉

(Can you tell I really want to try the toothpaste out for myself?! haha)

  2. Because 1 of my 4 kiddos is not a big chocolate fan (except for oreos…) I'd choose the "blingsicle" toothpaste. Thanks for highlighting this product!

  3. I have an advantage when it comes to guessing the baby's name, but I think simply having to name 4 boys of my own should earn me another entry :-).

  4. Kendra,

So funny that you posted about this toothpaste– I was just visiting their site to figure out how to order some after "C" got some in her goodie bag from the dentist this week. She LOVES the Banilla Bling — tastes like vanilla frosting to me ; )

Thanks for hosting a great giveaway!

    Fondly,
    MaryLea

  5. As far as baby names go, I'll share my boy names I didn't get to use since we had two girls…very traditional names: "E" would have been
Jackson William (Jack) and "C" would have been Owen William.

I also love my husband's name Geoffrey (Geoff), and my girlfriend's names for her sons Fletcher and Corbin. Another friend went with Aidan, Jack, and Nolan for her three boys and my neighbor across the street has three boys Joshua (Josh), Bradley, and Tommy (Thomas).

    🙂 Fun! MaryLea

  6. We all want to have the smile that we've been dreaming of all our lives. And to achieve that kind of smile, we must really take care of our teeth regularly. Tooth brushing is good, but going to the dentist regularly is better. As for me, I see to it that I find time to go to my dentist in Goose Creek. In Goose Creek, dentists are very expert in giving the perfect oral care to their clients.
