May Day Mayhem
Once upon a time, and many years ago…(sorry, that’s how my play last night started, but it really fits for this post)…I came home from school on a May 1st to find a May Day Celebration waiting for me!
My older sisters were home from college, and while we were all at school, they did a little research and scheming and prepared a May Day Celebration. They constructed a makeshift maypole in our backyard and used crepe paper as ribbons. I don’t remember exactly how the dance went, but we danced around the pole and wove a pattern as we went. They had also made paper flower wreath crowns for each of us for the festivities.
Aren’t we so lovely! (This is me and all of my insane sisters!) Since I was 11, I don’t remember how they pulled it off, but I will always remember the unexpected surprise of an unplanned May Day Celebration. What a fun day!

Me? I’m celebrating May Day, by trying to be as lazy as possible in an attempt to recover from a punishing April. But I’m so glad May is here! Happy May Day All!

I’m a little dissappointed. I really expected more comments about our 80s hair and clothes. It’s ok. I can handle it! You could probably put two of me in that outfit!
