Some of us are enjoying the final days of summer vacation before school starts. Others have another month or more to party and vacation before reality sets in. For either scenario, I’ve found a great excuse to get away for a vacation–as if you need an excuse! Did you know that July is National Vacation Rental Month?
Our main summer activity this year has been having a baby, so we really haven’t been able to get away, but looking at some of these pictures from vacations past, has me yearning for a little escape.
I’m trying to decided if I would rather escape to the beach or the mountains. Either way, I would love to find a great vacation rental property to escape to! Wyndham Vacation Rentals is celebrating National Vacation Rental Month with savings of up to 35%. Very tempting!
Have you stayed in a vacation rental before? We have on a few occasions and I have to tell you that I love it! Here are some of the reasons why I would choose a vacation rental over a hotel, particularly when vacationing with my family:
1) The first reason for our ever-expanding family is that you can get a place that is the right size for your needs. We clearly can’t stay at a lot of hotels these days without getting a couple of rooms–there are 7 of us now! If we do get multiple hotel rooms, not only can that be expensive, but it leaves us with the dilemma of how to divvy up the children and decide who will stay in which room.
2) Along the same lines, you can choose a place big enough for multiple families to stay together and enjoy each other’s company. This is what we have done in the past, and my kids loved getting to stay with their cousins while the grown-ups had space to hang out and catch up. I love that families can reunite this way without one person having the pressure to have their house ready to host.
3) Kitchens. Need I say more? Stretch your vacation budget by eating in for a few meals.
4) Laundry. Many properties have a washer and dryer on-site, making it really convenient to toss those beach towels and swimming suits in the wash right away.
5) Feels like home. Separate rooms for the kids. Living spaces. Often a bit more privacy than you would get in a hotel.
If I’ve convinced you to try a vacation rental for your next trip, you definitely want to check out Wyndham Vacation Rentals. In addition to the advantages I mentioned above, they also offer some hotel-like amenities at many properties. These may include shuttle service, a concierge desk, and housekeeping. It’s the best of both worlds!
Their website features rental homes in popular vacation spots like Myrtle Beach, Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, Charleston Islands, the Emerald Coast and Hilton Head Island. I was also excited to see lots of international destinations! Not that I’ll be going abroad any time too soon, but one day I will again!
Which of these beautiful homes would you prefer for your vacation getaway? For these and many other properties, visit Wyndham Vacation Rentals.
