Perfection is not usually a word I like to associate with party planning. Inevitably something goes wrong at the last minute, or time runs out for some of the amazing plans to come to life–Perfection just seems to be too lofty a goal. Yet, when I think about the party that has been voted as the winner of our 4th annual Blogiversary Party Party, Perfection is the word that comes to mind.
Every detail of this sweet Vintage Sewing Party way planned and executed meticulously. Both Brittany and I were blown away by the attention to detail. But often in a party that looks this pretty, I worry that guests are afraid to have fun. From the activities, cake, and color scheme, it is clear that this party was designed to delight all of the guests in attendance, and not just us internet admirers. Big congratulations to Christine at Pure Joy Events for throwing our party of 2011!
In the end, it came down to a battle between the vintage parties.
I was completely enchanted by this Vintage Dick and Jane party by Mariah at Giggles Galore–our runner up. I planned out a party much like this once and even submitted it to Kate Landers. I did a double-take when I saw her party because it was so much the feel I was imagining for this theme. It was great to see how Mariah brought this unique theme to life!
Rounding out our Top 3 was the Chili & Beer Tasting by Dixie Delights.
So ironically sophisticated and detailed in every element!
